I'm not taking the R1 off to have just a t shirt on in many cold-weather circumstances.Īgree R1 is not necessarily a baselayer. If I'm not going to be very active, I assume I'm keeping the uniqlo tee and R1 on the whole time together. I prefer layering the Airshed with Nano-air hoody though, instead of R1, since nano air is so soft and the two fabrics have no friction.īasically if I'm going to be active, I have the airshed on most of the time by itself, and put nano air on top if I slow down. The nylon doesn't cause to much friction, but sleeves are still tight at the forearms. Patagonia airshed pullover is a nice baselayer, that I could wear with the R1. It's a little awkward with dual long sleeves, but once you get them adjusted it's fine. Or Nike polyester long sheeve running shirt, just because I have a couple of them and they work fine. Sometimes heat-tech, but I would rather have the baselayer be max-wicking, so I use airism. r/Hammocks, /r/HammockCamping, and /r/ULHammocking Trail Specific Subs /r/PacificCrestTrail /r/AppalachianTrail /r/CDT /r/JMT Related Subsįor buying, selling, and trading ultralight backpacking gear.
